About

I am a Professor of Management and Director of Entrepreneurship at Dublin City University. I am also a Non-Executive Board Member of the DCU National Centre for Family Business.

I am an internationally recognized scholar and educator within the area of entrepreneurship having a particular expertise in gender, incubation, technology entrepreneurship and family business. Having taken a risk to leave the comfort of a secure and lucrative job in industry at the age of 26yrs to pursue a doctorate, I found a new home in third-level education; from incubators to diversity and inclusivity where my incisive mind, prodigious productivity, and insatiable curiosity have been rewarded. Now an award-winning Professor and Research Director of the National Centre for Family Business at DCU, my academic outputs include 40+ journal articles; 6 book chapters; 2 books, 50+ conference papers and managing million Euro research projects from the European Commission.
